About Munchly
The big ordering platforms are built for chains and venues with hundreds of covers. They come with integrations, account managers and commissions. Most cafes we know need none of that. They need customers to stop queuing at the counter, and the kitchen to see the order the moment it's placed.
A printed card on each table. A menu that opens on the customer's phone with no app and no sign‑up. Payment by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or at the counter. A kitchen screen that rings until the docket is started. That's the whole product, and we intend to keep it that way.
Munchly is built in Melbourne by Domato AI Pty Ltd, a small software company. We set venues up in person, print the table cards ourselves, and sit in the cafe for a full service before we call it live. If something breaks, you talk to the people who built it.
What we won't do
One flat monthly fee. Card processing goes to Stripe at their standard rate. If you sell more, you keep more.
Australia bans them from 1 October 2026. We never built them in. Weekend and public‑holiday surcharges, where you choose to have them, are shown before checkout.
Payments settle to your own Stripe account. We're software, not a bank, and we don't want to be one.
A missed order is the failure that loses a cafe. The kitchen screen polls, reconnects and rings. It is the part we test hardest.
Customers use their browser. Staff use a tablet with three columns. If it needs a training session, we've designed it wrong.
